<p>Friday, August 31, 2007 at 10:24AM If you find that days like International Talk Like a Pirate Day and Crabwalk With Your Daughter to Work Day don't quite speak to your interests and passions, perhaps this latest day to do something arbitrary and ridiculous is for you--September 26th, 2007, aka The 3rd Annual Lumberjack Day! Imagine you and your flanneled friends talking about your logs over a plate of gooey hotcakes and sausage. Does this get the syrup flowing from your wood? The Lumberjack Day website suggests all kinds of things you can do to have a fulfilling Lumberjack Day wherever you rest your weary bunyans. But, since we found out about this new day from an Evite, and since we assume lumberjacks everywhere will be pining to saw and be sawed with others, we spoke with the forewoman of LJD, Marianne Ways, to axe her if the officially sanctioned Lumberjack Day Luncheon in Brooklyn is going to be open to the public. She said:> "How about this, is there any way that you could put "if you'd like to attended, please RSVP to lumberjackday@gmail.com and we'll send you a confirmation. Please reply by September 17th" People can always celebrate on their own. Any diner with flapjacks should do the trick! I'm really excited, I think this will be the best Lumberjack Day we've had!"</p>
