Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 8:55PM Hmmm.... Conan O'Brien just said on tonight's show that he was in LA over the weekend. What was he doing there? The Apiary used to think it would be silly for Conan to leave NYC when he makes the switch to The Tonight Show in a few years. Conan is fed most of his great acting talent through the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Additionally, the Late Night studio is 2 floors below SNL, which makes for convenient cross promotion and funny guests in a pinch in case someone cancels. However, LA has been slowly draining some of NYC's brightest comedic minds over the last 3 years. The opening of UCBT-LA, is testament to the actualization of the west coast's pulsating comedy contingent.
So with much trepidation, we ask, was Conan CONFERENCING WITH NETWORK EXECUTIVES IN LA?
