Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 4:09PM If you've ever struggled with the appeal of Everybody Loves Raymond, you're not alone--apparently, so has the entire population of Russia! Here's the premise of a new documentary featuring ELR's creator, Phil Rosenthal:

> EXPORTING RAYMOND tells the hilarious and intimate journey of one man, considered an expert in his country having created one of the most popular television shows of all time, who travels to a foreign land to help people who don't seem to want his help. When Rosenthal joins forces with Hollywood studio Sony Pictures Television to recreate "Everybody Loves Raymond" for Russian TV audiences as "The Voronins," he finds himself lost in Moscow, lost in his mission, and lost in translation. Rosenthal tries to connect with his Russian colleagues but runs into unique characters and situations that conspire to drive him insane.

I couldn't find a trailer anywhere but I did find a video of a standing ovation it got at a recent film festival.
