Wednesday Jan 31 2007 What It Is
Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 10:01AM --Rocker Andrew W.K. is stopping by The PIT soon for an Off-Rififi showing of Here's The Thing. EDIT: He's appearing on the Feb 13th edition now instead.--It is our understanding that Anthony DeVito just shot a commercial for Caesar's Atlantic City which should start airing soon. We heard Anthony also snagged a part on an upcoming episode of Rescue Me. --Aziz Ansari says: "We're almost done shooting Human Giant's MTV sketch show... we have a few more weeks shooting and then we'll be back in New York. The show is going to air in April..." [MORE] --Which reminded us that The Whitest Kids' NATIONAL TELEVISION debut is March 20th on FUSE! Word is that the critics have good things to say. --Icon David Letterman is celebrating 25 years of The Late Show this week. --VH1 has been casting for a tv show about bloggers and producers didn't even bother to pitch any of the bloggers of their own sites.--Do you like stuffing your face with butter and sugar? Have you ever considered joining a FRIENDLY STREETGANG dedicated to munching on cupcakes?--Congrats go out to Apiary contributors Keith and Ben. Keith recently just landed a spot on a house improv team at The PIT. Ben is now contributing to The New York Press. --Reservations for the awe-inspiring A Motherf*ckin' Evening With Fabrice Fabrice are still available. Don't get left out in the cold this February. --And... did anyone happen to score Guru Pitka tickets? Just wondering.

The Apiary | Post a Comment in NVW Tuesday Jan 30 2007 The Coming Just Came
Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 9:26AM The Apiary is pleased to announce the arrival of our full-service Hollywood outpost:The Coming | www.thecoming.orgThe Coming is edited by Rick Paulas--a living and breathing embodiment of all things Los Angeles. He's like 1/3 glitz, 1/3 sunshine, and 1/3 cantankerous smog. Send him a friendly welcome or pimp your wares: thecomingLA@gmail.comAhh.... Manifest Destiny is now complete. Jackson Democrats would smile on the accomplishment that took place this afternoon. And then they would whip us with swamp reeds for the irregular posting that has occurred here lately. There are some other plans in store soon too for the sites, so be on the look out. We're still working out some of the kinks over there. Enjoy!

The Apiary | 6 Comments in The Beehive Monday Jan 29 2007 Say Something Nice to... Barbaro!
Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10:31AM This site has never stood for tearing people down. We happen to think that horses are people too, and CHAMPION RACEHORSE Barbaro deserves a little lift to his self esteem today. Uh, because he's dead. It's not often that we travel outside our comfort zone of comedy happenings, but there's so much vitriol out there--it's just not right to stay respectfully quiet while Deadspin readers are out having a field day with Barbaro's passing. It's okay to SAY SOMETHING NICE every once in a while ya'll. We're going to start right here on this blog. --Barbaro, we were praying you would pull through but our prayers clearly went unanswered. --God, why do bad things happen to good horses? --Terri Schiavo is waiting for you in Heaven, Barbaro. --Oh wait, animals go to Heaven, right? --OMG, what if Terri Schiavo is waiting for you in Hell?? Barbaro, nooooooo! --It's safe to speak for all of America when we say, "Rest knowing you've captured our hearts." --Your flowing mane reminded us of a young Steven Seagal. --When people start sprinkling Barbaro jokes into their acts, we vow to defend your honor by yelling out, "TOO SOON!" --Even if it's 10 years from now. --You no longer have to put up with having those creepy little dudes resting their ball sacks on you. --Perhaps one of your children will be used by Barack Hussein Obama when he rides through the sky with the horsemen of the apocalypse. --And speaking of politics, if Rudolph Giuliani even tries to exploit your death to give a wicked boner to the Republican base, we're just not gonna vote for him. --It's sometimes hard to explain how awesome you were Barbaro, but to put this in automotive terms, 1 of you equals like, 2 horsepower.Say something nice!PREVIOUSLYSay Something Nice To...
