Thursday Jun 28 2007 Charge of the Andrew Wright Brigade: International Blog Feud Turns Ugly

Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 12:07PM Outta the way Iraq, there's a new war in town. An internet feud has reached critical mass this week between two people who share THE SAME NAME. One of these people is Andrew Wright, New York Comedian. The other is Andrew Wright, Contemporary Artist from Canada. One of these A-wrights just wants to peacefully paint stuff and create things for his precious portfolio. The other wishes nothing more than to destroy the one man responsible for robbing him of Google glory. Andrew Wright, New York Comedian and proprietor of www.thisisandrewwright.com, lobbed the first fat nasty salvo with a blog entry that reads:> Goddammit, I'm back in the blogging game. Why? Because fuck Andrew Wright, contemporary artist from Canada, that's why. Fuck him right in his #1 Google ranking for the search term "Andrew Wright." (Believe me, I've googled me.) If there's one thing I want to accomplish in the short life of this shitty blog, it's knocking Andrew Wright, contemporary artist from Canada off of his high and mighty Google perch. Oh, how I bet Andrew Wright, contemporary artist from Canada just sits back and gloats over his vaunted search engine ranking. And then he paints something dumb. Well, good for Andrew Wright, contemporary artist from Canada. Gloat while you can, buddy. Because you won't be gloating when every search for "Andrew Wright" + "contemporary artist from Canada" turns up at this post.

Andrew Wright, Contemporary Artist, fired back by buying the domain name www.nothisisandrewwright.com and writing on it:> It really is quite sad. Andrew Wright, comic from New York, has actually tried to adopt my identity in order to get a little attention from Google. He's ignored my interest in his work and since insulting one's mother really is the lowest form of humour, I am left to conclude that he in fact is quite mediocre.

The contemporary artist goes on to say:> "The only funny thing that he's actually done is post the image above with the heading "A True Artist." (Although I think he owes an apology to Mr. Kinkade who, like me, is now the subject of a sarcastic and unwarranted attack)."

The Apiary asked Andrew Wright, New York Comedian, "If Andrew Wright, Contemporary Artist can read this, what would you like to say to him?" He replied:> "You can read?"

On a side note, comedian Andrew Wright's skillful war tactics brought back some fond personal memories. Andrew would have been a shining star in an online gang hellbent on destruction, chaos, and personal amusement that The Apiary was once a part of called The Alliance of Power. We were some tough sons of bitches back then, leaving comment boards across the globe totally decimated. In fact, Real World Superstar Dan Renzi, was so moved by our ruthlessness, he joined our gang after we threatened to cut his blog's face. Andrew Wright, Contemporary Artist could have been squashed beyond recognition if the gang wasn't so defunct... At any rate, hopefully this internetional feud resolves itself peacefully. Right, brothers?
