<p>We are very sad to learn that John "Wimpy" Ward died on March 29. With his passing, the NY-comedy scene has lost one of its most recognizable and charming personalities. Ward, a senior Improv Everywhere agent, was proably best known for his portrayal of deceased author Anton Chekov. He was also a fixture at The UCB; yesterday, Improv Everywhereman Charlie Todd wrote: "Anthony King and Alex Sidtis installed a small plaque in his honor on the arm of the chair John sat in every week." He will be missed.</p>

<p>Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 3:25PM God's Pottery was on The Sound of Young America last week singing a reportedly uplifting song about adoption, but little did they know, the people on the other end of the radio were sitting with their arms crossed in an ice cold room, staring despondently in unshakeable horror and disbelief.</p>
<p>Jesse Thorn writes of the God's Pottery bit:</p>
<p>> [As] you can see from the comments on the blog, it has not been universally acclaimed. I got about half a dozen email complaints, as well. Now, about 100,000 people listen to a given Sound of Young America episode, and 15 or 20 out of 100,000 is not a huge portion of that audience. It is, however, more complaints than we usually get. Did the segment merit the criticism?</p>
<p>> In the segment, God's Pottery describe adopted children as "God's little lost socks." The refrain of their song reminds adopted children that "you're just as special as a normal child." People objected to this on several grounds...</p>

<p>Monday, March 29, 2010 at 2:29PM --Rob Lathan announced he's having a baby and he's considering relaxing his nutface in favor of more FAMILY FRIENDLY MATERIAL. Similarly, Tina Fey recently didn't pose nude for Esquire saying, "I'm a mom. And my kid's going to find this someday and blah blah blah." What's up with children impacting our choices?!</p>
<p>--In what may or may not be an April Fool's stunt, UCBcomedy.com said it's relaunching its site on April 1st. The site will introduce a new rating system that will allow viewers to add or take away from each video’s "Bucket of Truth." The website overhaul has been one of the first major projects for Todd Bieber, its Director of Content and Production who joined UCBComedy from The Onion News Network in January.</p>
<p>--You don't need to feign interest in Rotary Club to get on this scholarship gravy train. An anonymous donor pledged a $10,000 contribution for the next three years to support The PIT's artistic outreach and endeavors. The PIT took this money and created the Improv Your Life Scholarship Program. The program will offer five full-ride improv scholarships (Levels 1 - 5) and three partial improv scholarships (Level 1 only) to be awarded to individuals who are passionate about improv and demonstrate financial need.
