<p>On a sticky and sweaty Wednesday evening, two of New York’s finest comedians chose Big Terrific as their goodbye NY show. Both Baron Vaughn and Kumail Nanjiani, who were just hours away from moving to Los Angeles after getting television shows green-lit, performed for 30 minutes each.</p>
<p>NOTES</p>
<p>--It’s always tough going on stage first, while the audience is still sober, but Ben Kronberg did not disappoint. He started with some zingers and then treated the crowd, and one lucky lady, to a rap/sexual assault finale (face humping not pictured).</p>
<p>--Kumail Nanjiani, who was recently profiled by the NY Times, has a very adorable way about him largely due to his general puzzlement or frustration over just about everything coupled with a Pakistani accent. He discussed the X-Files movie and how it strangled/peed on his childhood, handling bizarre dismembered female body parts while working in a sex toy store, and the mystifying realism of the video game Heavy Rain. Since he was moving to LA the following morning, Kumail lamented the moving ritual of turning over all of your most loved possessions to a group of men who you would probably avoid on the street. In addition to landing a role in the TBS hour-long comedy Franklin & Bash, Nanjiani has a deal with NBC to develop a pilot based on his personal life.</p>
<p>-- Showcasing his impressions and beat boxing, Baron Vaughn performed a bit that went over especially well, morphing Truman capote into Lil’ Wayne. Vaughn has been very busy lately. He has a role on The Awkward Comedy Show, a new series on Comedy Central. He just performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, has a role in The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and has just been cast in a USA legal drama called Facing Kate. They grow up so fast...</p>

<p>> It is in fact true! It's a deal for AGORAFABULOUS!, my one-woman show about agoraphobia and panic attacks. It's with Harper Collins (the William Morrow imprint) and it's due to come out in 2012. I have to write it now that I've signed the contract, aaaaak!</p>
