Q: What happens to SNL cue cards after the show?

A: "Old cue cards are placed on a giant pile backstage. Then, the art department uses them to cover the floor so when they paint the new sets, paint doesn't drip on the floor. Pretty anti-climactic. There's talk of trying to burn them as biofuel, but I don't think it's gonna go anywhere."

Q:We thought we'd see at least one on eBay...

A: "While a set of original cue cards from the 'More Cowbell' sketch might go for a lot of money on eBay, it would almost certainly mean termination once NBC finds out."

--Matt White, former SNL cue-card writer
